These ingredients offer a variety of (a) essential fatty acids that aid in cleansing the scalp while locking in moisture; (b) anti-inflammatory and antioxidants to fight off environmental stressors that can cause hair loss, thinning hair, dandruff, dry, flaky scalp, and other scalp issues; (c) high-producing protein content (collagen/keratin) that can help to strengthen and grow hair; (d) amino acids to help repair hair; and (e) Vitamins A, C, D, E micro-nutrients and minerals to promote the growth of strong, healthy, bouncy, shiny hair.
Like all plants, Haitian Black Castor Oil’s composition is influenced by where it is grown, specifically the soil's content and environment and post-harvest treatment. As such, this particular castor oil contains higher percentages of properties that may be lower in others. Haitian black castor oil is known to grow and thicken hair. It is a triglyceride with high contents of essential fatty acids, minerals, proteins, and vitamins. Haitian Black Castor oil also contains the biochemical agent undecylenic acid, which is used to stop fungal growth; a common cause of scalp conditions resulting in hair loss/thinning. The properties contained within this oil lock in moisture while repairing damage to your hair and scalp to promote healthy hair growth.
The rich micro-nutrients in Moringa Oil including zinc and iron; are essential for maintaining healthy hair. This oil is rich in amino acids which are building blocks of cells that support healthy follicles and a clean scalp. Due to its properties, this oil can activate dormant hair follicles to support hair growth. It is a rich source of Biotin, one of the best-known vitamins for hair growth. Furthermore, Moringa Oil contains proteins that help boost keratin and collagen production to prevent breakage and strengthen hair. Its properties contain a rich supply of fatty acids including Omega 3’s and behenic acid which support softness, and luster as well as provide a protective barrier against environmental stressors. Abyssinian oil's long-chain fatty acids provide a protective layer on top of the cuticles that can help seal the cuticles and isolate your hair from humidity while preserving the moisture content. It contains linolenic acids, as well as antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, and anti-fungal properties, all of which play a very important role in hair growth. Abyssinian oil is also rich in Vitamin A, C, and E, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B6, minerals, and proteins to promote a healthy scalp and healthy hair growth.
Baobab oil can be a soothing solution to dry, brittle, itchy scalp and dandruff which is a cause of hair breakage and thinning. It contains vitamins and moisturizing qualities that can support the repair of damaged hair while soothing and healing itchy, irritated scalp. The saturated fats penetrate the hair shaft to improve hair softness, elasticity and improve overall levels of hydration.
Lemon Extract is an excellent alternative to irritating menthols and is a vasodilator. Vasolidation increases blood flow to your hair follicle, improving hair nutrition and support, thereby improving the health of future hair growth. The Vitamin C properties of lemon help in the production of collagen which supports hair growth.

Apply oil to your scalp 1-2 time a week*, sectioning hair with dropper tip as you go. Massage oil into your scalp, paying special attention to thinning areas then gently apply the remaining oil on your hands onto your hair.

Our Tradition:
After washing and on towel-dried hair, follow the application steps above adding additional oil to the hair strands. Place a plastic cap on the hair, tie it down with a cotton scarf to lock in your body’s natural heat, leave it in overnight. Gently wash your hair (1x) in the morning and style.
Alternatively:
After washing and on towel-dried hair, follow the application steps above adding additional oil to the hair strands. Without covering hair, clip it up, make sure to not avoid the nape area, and steam for 10 to 15 minutes. Gently wash your hair (1x) and style.
*If used as a deep conditioner weekly, you do not need to reapply in between washing. If used as a deep conditioner bi-weekly, apply at the midpoint.
