The Power Of Vitamin C

If you love the skin you're in, you’ll add topical Vitamin C to your skincare regime.

Vitamin C is a naturally occurring antioxidant in nature. Unfortunately, the human body is incapable of producing Vitamin C. Topical Vitamin C is the solution. It is an absolute must have ingredient. Your skin will love you for it!

What is so great about Vitamin C?

Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant that helps the skin fight off free radicals by neutralizing certain stressors that can accelerate damage to the skin. This may cause inflammation, giving way to a multitude of possible skin issues.

Topical Vitamin C

Don’t fret, topical Vitamin C is here to save the day!

According to research, using topical vitamin C for a minimum of 90 days decreased the rate at which skin aged, improve appearance of aged and fragile skin, fine lines and wrinkles, minimize pores, blemishes, acne, age spots and improve the overall texture and appearance of skin.  As if that wasn't enough, this wonderful ingredient is known to aid in the acceleration of collagen and elastin. Using topical Vitamin C consistently is bound to give you a bright complexion that is soft and glowing.

But wait! According to research, “for a product to be of biological significance, it needs to have a vitamin C concentration higher than eight percent”

This means that not all formulas are created equal. Some cosmetic products containing vitamin C and even Vitamin C serums may have small percentages of this first rate ingredient; less than the recommended 8%. In such a case, you would be paying for the name brand instead of results. That is not to say that some of these products containing low percentages of vitamin C will not have some effect on your skin, it may just be minimal.

All of our facial oils contain higher than the recommeded 8%. Our customers can see and feel the benefits from consistently using our facial oils. Along with a higher  percentage of Vitamin V, we have added Vitamin E to increase the antioxidant effect in all of our formulas.

So How Do You Use Topical Vitamin C?

To optimize the effects of Vitamin C in our face oil, we recommend using at night and in the morning. However, when using in the morning, give the oil time to absorb into your skin before going out. The reason is, Vitamin C becomes less effective when it is exposed to light.

If during application you feel a slight tingling sensation, don’t worry, this is normal. Vitamin C’s PH levels are low which sometimes can cause a temporary slight tingling feeling on your skin. This should go away immediately. As with all products, a patch test should be conducted before use for allergic reactions.
